    Step 1

I have never been one to go too over the top with holiday or seasonal decorating because I know once I open the flood gates, all bets are off. My attic will be full of decorations for every known and unknown holiday. I gave in a little this year and decided to pick up these unfortunate looking pumkins at Dollar Tree for $1 each. There were tons of small and large faux pumpkins and I knew that I could somehow make these work.

I used my leftover Rustoleum Primer and Silver and Gold Metallic Valspar spray paint from my Metallic Magnet project (view it here). I sprayed the primer on the tops of the pumpkins and let it dry for 20 to 30 minutes before spraying the bottoms.

I have been on a metallic kick lately, so I continued the trend by spraying the pumpkins silver and gold. Using the same method as the primer, I sprayed two coats on each side of the pumpkins, leaving about 20 to 30 minutes for each coat to dry. I'm still using and loving my Rustoleum Comfort Spray Grip for these kinds of projects.

That's really all there is to it! Watch out, you will have an attic full of decorations for every day of the year in no time!
