Having champagne flutes at a party automatically elevates it from mediocre to fancy...now imagine adding some sleek and colorful polka dots and you've really got yourself some elegance. Make these simple polka dot champagne flutes with a little bit of paint and (surprise tool) cotton swabs!
The secret ingredient to this project is COTTON. Namely, cotton balls and cotton swabs. The cotton balls can be used with alcohol to clean the outside of the champagne flutes to prepare the area to be painted. The cotton swabs (aka: q-tips) will be used to create perfectly wound polka dots.
Prepare your station. Get a paper plate ready for paint and cotton swabs ready for dipping. Clean your glassware.
Making a polka dot is easy. Simple dip the tip of the cotton swab in the paint and dot it on the glassware. For this look, it's unnecessary to be uniform in the polka dotting, feel free to be free form and work from the bottom up. I did not polka dot all the way to the top, but if that's your style...go for it!
