How cute are these simple pendant patio lights made from flower pots! They add a splash of color to my small urban patio!

Instructions

  1. Small 113672 2f2016 03 12 181706 patio%2blights%2bsupplies

First gather your supplies: plastic flower pot (no spray paint needed if you find a pot the color you want), S-hooks and small chain (easily found at the hardware store), heavy duty velcro strips, a battery operated LED light, and possibly a drill.

  2. Small 113672 2f2016 03 12 182413 patio%2blight%2bsingle%2bsingle

Spray paint the flower pots if needed. (I originally planned to do this but later found pots in the perfect shade of yellow!) Cut the chain to desired length. Attach S-hooks to each end. If the pot does not have a hole in the center bottom, you will need to make one with a drill. Then squeeze one S-hook up through the bottom of the pot through the hole. When the pot is turned upside down, it will hang from this chain!

Attach the LED light inside the flower pot to the bottom, using velcro strips. And... you're done! See how lovely these little flower pot pendant lights look on my patio!
