(if you want the gold border) line the outside of the trivet (I got mine from Walmart in the plant section.) with tape and spray paint the edges.
trace the the circumference of your trivet on the image of your moon. my trivet was a little smaller than my picture, but I still think it looks good. cut a little more than necessary to leave room for error. then put mod podge on top of your trivet and put the moon picture on top. cut the overlap off the sides.
put another coat on top to make it all shiny.
