Diy Mixed Metal Tassel Necklace

What to do with all your chains scraps? Part I

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's got a ton of chain scraps lying around. For this DIY I used some leftover chain from another project and topped it with a pearl bead for that extra oomph. This is especially perfect for those days when I find it hard to choose between gold vs silver vs gunmetal gray accessories. Why not all three?

Description

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's got a ton of chain scraps lying around. For this DIY I used some leftover chain from another project and topped it with a pearl bead for that extra oomph. This is especially perfect for those days when I find it hard to choose between gold vs silver vs gunmetal gray accessories. Why not all three?

Instructions

  1. Small four

    1. Trim your chain to about 3" long, if they aren't already. I used six but add more if you wish. 2. Attach the chains to your jump ring, in addition to the eye pin at the end.

  2. Small three

    3. String on your first bead cap, the pearl, then your second bead cap. 4. Using pliers, form a loop. Attach to your necklace chain with another jump ring.

  3. Small end

That's it! I love how versatile this necklace is. Still have some scraps left over? You can also make a pair of tassel earrings if you have enough chain :) How do you use up your scraps?
