Description

I love making miniatures and this one is one of my favorite miniature crafts. Check out the tutorial and make one!

Instructions

  1. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 090242 20131223 135434

Take a paper and draw a template for the cabin. Cut out each part out of the template, it includes- 2 pieces for roof, 1 piece for front, 1 piece for back, 2 pieces for both sides.

  2. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091017 20131223 135249

Collect as many twigs as possible. Make sure that all of them are of the same size.

  3. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091023 20131223 135535

Place the twings (one-by-one) on the template, mark the area that matches with the template size and use the x-acto knife to cut the twigs on the marked area. Measure and cut twigs from a side for each part of the template. This should take a while.

  4. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091032 20131223 140129

When you'll have all the twigs ready for the cabin, arrange them on the template appropriately.

  5. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091039 gluing

I applied wood glue on top of the arranged twigs, especially between every 2 twigs. Allow the glue to dry.

  6. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091049 the%2bhouse

After the glue dries use the wood glue to join all the parts of the cabin together. Don't forget to use smaller twigs to form the window. Later on I added a door to the cabin made out of cardboard.

  7. Small 102751 2f2014 06 22 091201 welcome%2bsign

Take 2 small twigs (one small and another one relatively longer), white marker pen and wood glue. Write 'welcome' on the small stick using white marker pen and glue it on the longer stick horizontally with wood glue, allow the glue to dry.

  8. Small 102751 2f2014 11 30 060621 20141130 093738

Place the cabin on anything hard and flat. I made a flat concrete piece for it. Glue the cabin on the flat surface and also glue the welcome sign in front of the cabin. Add more features to the cabin if you want to. Enjoy!
