Last fall I shared a fun and easy Thanksgiving table setting that featured these log place holders. They are pretty simple to make, but may require some muscle if you don't have a bandsaw and need to use a hand saw.

Last fall I shared a fun and easy Thanksgiving table setting that featured these log place holders. They are pretty simple to make, but may require some muscle if you don't have a bandsaw and need to use a hand saw.

Instructions

1. 

   First find a log approximately an inch and a half in diameter. Cut your pieces to size with your saw (bandsaw or handsaw)

2. 

   Saw down a line across your wood piece approximately a quarter inch deep

3. 

   Helpful tip: Use sturdy cardboard for your place holders!
