Glam up your keys with a gemstone keyring. Added luxury when made from suede!
- print off & cut out gemstone template. - pin the template to the suede & cut around. Cut one felt too. - place template over suede shape & using a pin punch through the paper to make a small mark in the suede. You are aiming to transfer the points of the design onto the suede so you can then join the dots with tailors chalk or a pencil. Pencil marks came off for me but be sure to do it very lightly, remove with blue tack!
- using a sewing machine or needle & thread sew over the design. - using embroidery thread go over the top parts of the design to give the design some definition. - make a loop with the ribbon, sandwich between the suede & the felt, attach the two layers together with more stitches. - add key-ring to ribbon.
