Description

Have you seen my previous tutorial on how to get started in yarn art? If not check it out and then come back here to try out this fun yarn art :)

Instructions

  1. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183456 20131022 151659

First draw a simple pattern on a paper with a pencil.

  2. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183524 gluing

Use a cotton bud to apply glue on the patterns. Start with simple shapes such as circles.

  3. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183539 art%2bone%2b 284 29

You'll find how to draw yarn art of circles in a tutorial I've posted previously along with other basic shapes.

  4. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183723 art%2bone%2b 281 29

When you're done with the circles start with the petals. Apply glue on the pencil traced petals one by one and cover it with yarn. Do not apply glue on all petals at the same time. Cover the petals with yarn one by one.

  5. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183732 art%2bone%2b 282 29

After you're done with the petals go for the leaves.

  6. Small 106663 2f2015 01 07 183747 art%2bone%2b 2818 29

Now's the fun part. Cover the gaps ans spaces between the main pattern. Use small pieces of yarns to cover small gaps. Use light colored yarns to cover the spaces, in this way it won't effect the main pattern. Done!
