These rainbow crayons are so easy and fun to make ~ And kids just love them! This project is basically free, depending on what you have around the house. The best part is that you won't have to ruin your good muffin pans in the process :-)

Lay the paper towel down on your cutting board. Using the butter knife, cut the crayons into 1/4 inch pieces.
Divide the crayon pieces up evenly between the Dixie cups. Fill each cup about 1 inch full.
Heat at 250 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes. I used my toaster oven and checked on them about every 5 minutes or so.
When the crayons are completely melted, carefully transfer the cups to your cutting board to cool. This will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Or you can put them in the refrigerator to cool even quicker.
When the crayon has completely hardened, just tear the cup to remove it.
* I did have to use the butter knife to pop the bottom off. But once I broke the seal, it was a cinch :-)
TA DA! Beautiful rainbow crayons in under an hour. ~ ENJOY ~
