Description

I always wanted a case that would hold my tampons and even a pad and be have it be discrete. Women dont always want to announce their time of the month. This way at least its a fashion forward way to go.

Instructions

  1. Small imag0354 1314080035

Pick out your fabric for the outside and inside. Cut both about 12in width x 11in height. (You can cut smaller for a more compact case)

  2. Small imag0355 1314080450

Take both pieces of fabric and lay them on eachother. Fold them in half. Cut at an angle going upwards starting about four inches from the bottom of the fabric.

  3. Small imag0359 1314080748

Fold about half an inch of all sides on each the outside fabric and inside fabric. I used an iron to hold the seems in place.

  4. Small imag0361 1314080921

Using my sewing machine i stiched each of the pieces along the folded ends.

  5. Small imag0362 1314081130

Both pieces should have stiching along the ends.

  6. Small imag0363 1314081252

I took both pieces and placed them togther to make sure they matched. Sewed the top together (can be optional, otherwise keep them apart while you add the pockets on the inside)

  7. Small imag0364 1314081549

Take the fabric from the outside and cut a piece that is longer in the width that the original piece, so you have room for the pockets to fit the pad and or tampon in them.

  8. Small imag0365 1314081742

Make sure you have enough length and take out a tampon to measure out how much of the tampons you want to show or hang out

  9. Small imag0366 1314081881

I took some of the extra fabric for the inside and added it so my pockets had more room to actually fit about 6 tampons in the case. To make the pockets all i did was place a tampon under it and meaured how much room i would need. I then bunched a little of that fabric and sewed lines connecting the inside fabric and the pockets.

Now all i did was place my tampons and pad inside each pocket to make sure they fit. After that i sewed the inside piece to the outside piece making it one.

For the outside i took a hot glue gun and glued some ribbon to tie it shut. This way i can easily change the ribbon if it ripped or i wanted to add a little more color. Finally it's finished. Not only can you just fold it any way you want but it also looks good rolled up.
