Day of the Dead Mixed Media Wall Art
The work starts on an 8X10 canvas. I poured the plaster mask base then embellished it with paint and clay. The petals around the eyes are all raised and made from polymer clay. Each rose is hand sculpted in clay and painted.
She wears a black veil made of lace with a spider keeping it all in place.
There are small crosses and other embellishments on the canvas, including a crackle finish. These are not too bold that way it doesn’t take away from the mask inteslf.
It hangs from a piece of black ribbon that is safely secured on the back.
