  • How to make a lantern. Día De Muertos (Day Of The Dead) Luminaries - Step 1
    Step 1

    Print and cut out your chosen "calaverita" (sugar skull) image.

    Step 2

    Tape your template to the can. With the nail and hammer, punch out the outline of the design.

    Step 3

    Once your design is punched out, remove the template and, working on a hard, flat work surface, hammer the tin (from the inside) back to it's rounded shape.
