You Will Need (5 things)

  • Scissors
  • Note Book
  • Ribbon
  • Fabric Glue
  • Laptop Keyboard

Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Starting with laptop keys - they aren't hard to get hold of. Ask around computer repair shops; most keep hold of old laptops for spare parts or appropriate disposal. Alternatively old chunky laptop keys are fairly commonplace at car boot sales.

The keys should pop right off, ensure the pieces are washed properly, keyboards are grubby little things

  2. 2

choose your ribbons, Velcro, scrap paper, stickers etc. and arrange like a crazy person.

  3. 3

Then glue like a crazy person!!!! I used self adhesive Velcro because it's easy to position and stick down but it is not recommended for notepads with a fabric cover. Normal Sew-on Velcro and fabric glue will do just fine. Ensure that the soft side gets glued onto the notepad and not the hooked side. Choose a good fabric glue that doesn't seep through the fabric. Take care to glue well on the edges of the notepad cover. Trim off excess

  4. 4

Pop out the laptop keys, give them a wash and cut out small squares of the hooked Velcro. Self adhesive might be enough to stick straight on to the back of the laptop keys, otherwise a dot of fabric glue might be needed.

  5. 5

Arrange Keys at will!! Name, pets name, log in details, favourite school subject.....most hated school subject.........
