I found some old Kinder Surprise containers and the first thing that came to mind was the minions off of Despicable Me... even though I haven't seen the movie yet. It was fairly easy, I just hot glued some scrap jean fabric and drew on the hair and face. They can hold small things as well, so I'm thinking of putting some of my earrings in them.

They're sold all over the place in Walmart and other stores except for the USA. They banned them there because they had small parts so they considered them unsafe for children. So if you're in the States you might be out of luck.
