Must try

About

I had heard such good reviews on this deep cleansing wash that I thought I'd give it a go. I'm sure you could use this wash on non dreadlocked hair but I don't think the results would be as good. If you have dreadlocks this is a must try, my head feels much cleaner, my hair looks cleaner and after soaking your dreads for a couple of minutes the result are instantly clear once you see all the dirty and residue in the water.

You Will Need (6 things)

  • A few drops of Essential Oil Of your choice
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 cup Baking Powder
  • Warm Water

Steps (8 steps, 10 minutes)

  1. 1

Give you sink a rinse and quick clean.

  2. 2

    Gather together all the ingredients

With the essentials oils feel free to use which ever ones you choose. I like to use peppermint as I love the smell, it's a natural antiseptic, and is used commonly in hair and beauty product.

  3. 3

Place plug in sink ( isn't my little cow plug cute lol) and fill sink with warm water

  4. 4

Add all ingredients to the warm water and stir well. It will fizz and bubble but this is normal as you are adding the baking powder and vinegar.

  5. 5

Prepare your dreadlocks, I just separated my roots etc

  6. 6

Stick your head in the sink, soak your dreadlocks and sculp for as long as possible I usually soak for 10 minutes as my back and neck start hurting by then. Move your dreads around rub the water into sculp etc

( sorry for the photo, it's a bit tricky to take pic whilst your heads in the sink lol)

  7. 7

You can now see the difference in the colour if the water from when you started to when you have finished, some people have said their water was nearly black, mine is normally brown, this is all the dirt, product residue etc that is left in your hair.

  8. 8

    Rinse thoughtless, condition and dry.

You now have happy clean dreadlocks :D
