I originally found a similar idea on the Better Homes & Gardens website. I then found a cool old serving tray at a thrift store. I sanded it down and painted it a light purple, let it dry a few days, and then painted antique white over it. I sanded it again just enough to see a little of the purple behind it. I then found pictures online that were mostly purple or ivory, like flowers, old luggage stickers, and Victorian ladies. I then decoupaged the pictures only on the main serving tray area and let it dry. It was a mother's day/birthday present and i served my mom breakfast in bed on it. :)
