  • How to decoupage a decoupage pot. Decoupage Vase - Step 1
    Step 1

You need a vase...doesn't matter how big or small as long as it is smooth...clean off any stickers..mix up some glue and water...I use tacky glue(since it is thick and water) just mix it till it is a little runny

  • How to decoupage a decoupage pot. Decoupage Vase - Step 2
    Step 2

You will need some paper...it can be any kind as long as it is easy to work with...tissue paper is what I love using...just be careful working with it not to handle it too much as that will cause it to tear and become fuzzy from over touching...I cut them into 4x4 pieces

  • How to decoupage a decoupage pot. Decoupage Vase - Step 3
    Step 3

Spread your glue on the bottom of the vase to start with and work up to the top...one layer at a time

  • How to decoupage a decoupage pot. Decoupage Vase - Step 4
    Step 4

you can do as many layers as you like I do three...last layer I put on with Mod Podge gloss-Lustre..once the last layer dries put on a thick coat of Mod Podge...when it's dry, use 400grit sandpaper and sand around the vase making sure it is still smooth...put on one more coat of Mod Podge and let it dry.

    Step 5

This is basically what you will get however I still have another layer of paper to put on...You can add anything you want to the outside of the vase...I always leave it just the way it is...sometimes I mix dye in the mod podge just for a different look, it will dry with a light colored layer...turns out beautiful...Hope all this made since this is the first how-to I have done...any questions don't be affraid to give me a holler
