Decoupage Photo Headboard

Make a small space feel like home

Moving into a new college apartment, I was short on money for decorating. I found an old ratty queen headboard for free on craigslist, so I went and picked it up. I painted it primarily red, with dark blue and pink trim. This was just standard cheap paint from Michaels. Since my room was so small with not a whole lot of space for pictures, I thought to put pictures on my headboard. I gathered old photos, ticket stubs, letters etc and arranged them on the headboard as I wished. Using modgepodge, I decoupaged all the pictures with 2-3 coats. To finish it off, I wrote "friends" in many languages to complete the international theme of my room- it was a great piece that really made my space feel like home!
