After choosing your wooden boxes, you will need to paint the boxes with your chosen colours of paint. Depending on what type of wooden boxes you choose you may have to do 1-3 coats of paint. If you are painting both the inside and outside of the box then you will need to firstly paint just three sides of the box, stand the box on the unpainted end until it dries. When the box dries stand it on a painted end and paint the unpainted end. Once the outside of the box is dry paint the inside of the box. You will need to leave the box open so remember to allow plenty of room for the box to dry.
Make sure the paint has dried, and if it has then glue your chosen image on your box. I just put a little bit of mod podge on the back of my image and affixed the image in my chosen spot. (The images were found on the internet then printed on normal A4 printing paper)
Once the mod podge on the back of your image has dried, coat the entire image with mod podge. Wait for that coat of mod podge to dry and then coat it again. When the mod podge does go on the box it does look a bit like pva glue but don't worry about that because it dries clear.
I used glitter glue to put the names of my boyfriends son, niece and nephew on these as they were christmas presents. I then filled the boxes with lollies. There was another box which had a ben 10 theme that was for my boyfriends five year old nephew Stephen however the photos were no good so I could not post them
