Decorative Ribbon Necklace

Decorative ribbon and glass beads necklace

I saw this beautiful necklace (http://carmicimicata.blogspot.com/2010/10/dove-of-east-sample-ribbon-necklace.html) and decided to make my own version. I love the idea of textile jewelry. I bought some fabric ribbon with a flower pattern, I already had the glass beads and jewelry findings as well as the tools needed. I sewed (on a sewing machine but you can also do it by hand) each "tile" to a piece of felt, made a hole and put an eyelet. I used fray stop on the cut edges because singing on candle flame did not work well. Then I chose some coordinating beads and attached all the elements to a ready-made chain. The beads were meant to just give a little sparkle and not dominate the necklace. I have marked "pretty tough" difficulty level but keep in mind that I used the eyelet tools for the first time and I am not very experienced with jewelry tools either :)
