In the UK we don't have Candy Corn, and have to order it over the internet. I made these so I could pretend. =P Dont eat them! You could put small holes through them to make them into charms, or just keep them like this in a jar. See how many people ask to eat them! :)

Description

In the UK we don't have Candy Corn, and have to order it over the internet. I made these so I could pretend. =P Dont eat them! You could put small holes through them to make them into charms, or just keep them like this in a jar. See how many people ask to eat them! :)

Instructions

  1. Small img00084 20100201 1117 1265032672

Start off by collecting your Fimo clay. If you have another brand that you're more used to using, use that. :) If you dont have any orange clay, mix red and yellow to make orange.

  2. Small img00083 20100201 1116 1265032697

Roll the orange and yellow clay into long cylinders and press them together gently, with orange above the yellow. Make sure they stay together when you move them around.

  3. Small img00085 20100201 1120 1265032755

Next roll the white clay out into a tube. (wash your hands before touching the white to avoid getting colour on it) Like before, press the white tube ontop of the orange. Try and even it out by pressing the connected tubes against your surface, turning it over to try and remove fingermarks.

  4. Small img00086 20100201 1124 1265032911

Now to make the Candy Corn shape! :) Using a butter knife (or other thin tool with no ridges), place the edge diagonal on the clay tubes. Cut through the tubes as shown in the picture.

  5. Small img00087 20100201 1124 1265033032

It should look like this. :)

  6. Small img00088 20100201 1124 1265033061

To make the most of your clay, then flip the knife over (to avoid colour contamination) and cut as shown in the picture. It's the same as the last step, but flipped the other way.

  7. Small img00089 20100201 1127 1265033124

Once you've cut all your Candy Corn shapes, try and even them out a bit. There may be a small line of clay sticking out where you cut, try and smooth these into the main Corn. If you plan to make the Candy Corns into charms, now is the time to push a thick needle through it to make a hole, or to insert a ring/hook.

  8. Small img00090 20100201 1140 1265033211

Now cook them according to the clay's cooking instructions. :) If your clay doesnt need to be cooked, just read the instructions to find out what to do. Once you've removed them from the oven and let them cool, they're done! :D
