While making Decorations for our Christmas celebrations at college, one of my colleagues taught us how to make these. We made some with red, orange and green crepe paper and it looked great!:D

Tear a few strips of paper that are equal in size. (I've used eight 30cm x 12.5cm strips)
Align them neatly, so that they are all arranged together.
Fold them back and forth, like how you make a paper fan.
Continue doing so, till you reach the end of the papers so that it resembles the picture.
Hold them together and tie in the center. You'll have two sides with eight papers on each side.
Now, on one side, slowly separate the sheets of paper as shown in the image. Fold four to the bottom and four towards the top.
Finish up with one side so it looks like this. You'll be folding sixteen bits of paper totally.
Repeat the 6th step on the other side as well. As a result you should get something like this.
You can make as many as you want in as many colours as you wish and use them as decorations.:)Trust me they look really pretty! Hope you find this useful Have fun! Thank you! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
