What You Need: * two small pictures of Debbie Harry (or any other one of your musical heroes you'd like dangling from your ears) * small circle paper punch * pair of scissors * Mod Podge, glossy or matte * Paper Glaze, such as Aleene's (optional) * heavy cardstock or cardboard * jewelery pliers * pair of fish hook style ear wires * four jumprings
After you have Googled your image of choice, you will need to print two copies of it. Alternately, you can cut your pictures out of a magazine. They don't even have to be matching or very large. Mine are only about 1 inch by 1 inch. Yours can be as big or small as you'd like them to be. My picture came from somewhere on the Internet, and it features a still of Debbie from the Atomic video, wearing the Vultures tee shirt and plastic bag jacket. Cut your pictures to size and get your cardstock/cardboard.
Using either Mod Podge or craft glue, affix the pictures to the cardboard or cardstock. Apply a coat to both the front and the back or the pictures and smooth it to the cardboard/stock, allowing ample time for it to dry in between coats. Basically all you are doing is decoupaging the pictures to the cardboard. I did two coats. Just make sure everything dries well. Afterwards, cut the pictures out. Put another coat of Mod Podge onto both sides and seal the edges of the layered pieces. Let them dry.
This step is optional. I used Aleene's Paper Glaze to coat both the front and the back of the pictures, because I love the nice glossy, dimensional finish. Let the pieces dry well. Now they should be sturdy with all the coats you painted on and patiently waited to dry!
Use the circle paper punch (I used a nice pair of Fiskars hand punch with a very small diameter) to create a hole a the top of both pictures. You aren't using ones with a huge circle--remember, these are just to make a hole for the jumprings.
Using the pliers, carefully open two of the jumprings and thread them through the holes at the top of the pictures. Add on the other two jumprings and then the fish hook ear wires onto these, and close with the pliers. Put 'em on and crank some Blondie!
