I made these for a friend's birthday. You can see them in her hair in the pictures above. I like the contrast of the creepy, bold pendants against the girly, pastel ribbon. (time includes cooking time)

Make your pendants/beads and bake them according to the instructions on the packet. Include a hole of some sort so you can thread them onto the bows later. For example - a zombie heart, Jack Skellington style scull, cleaver, rotting pumpkin, the possibilities are endless!
Paint the pendants (if required).
Choose how long you want your bow. Basically measure a tiny bit longer than half the length you want the bow to be and fold, then wrap the ribbon across to the length you want, and do this again so you get a cross shape (like in the picture). If you follow the red lines I drew, you can see how it is all folded and how the half length part is under the centre. It needs to be a bit longer for when you sew it up.
Sew a few stitches in the left corner - as close to the edge of each piece of ribbon as you can get. Do the same to the right corner.
Wrap the ribbon around the bow again and fold the ribbon over to just over half way across the back of the bow and cut it. You should seal the ends somehow -either burning or a fray stopping glue. Sew a few stitches in the centre.
Pinch the bow in the centre and sew a few stitches.
Now fold the edges forward and sew a few stitches and/or wrap some thread around the centre. All of these stitches probably seem like overkill but the ribbon I used popped open a few times so I wanted to be on the safe side.
Cut a short piece of ribbon that will wrap around the bow with a bit to spare. Seal the edges.
Fold the long edges into the centre. Wrap this around the bow and through the clip, and sew a few stitches in it to join it. Don't put the stitches into the bow, or the clip won't fit.
Sew the edges of the clip to the bow.
Sew the pendant onto the front of the bow.
Tada! You now have a cute and deadly bow hairclip!
