I completely understand why you have taken off your template but I was wondering (begging really) if there is any way you would email me the template? I am having a tea party for Mother's Day with my mother and aunt/cousin and thought these would be the most lovely party favors. I honestly registered just to a) tell you how much I adore your projects! and b) to ask (beg and plead if I must) you if there is absolutely any way that I can get this template. I came across this page almost two years ago but my daughter was only a new baby at the time and I didn't save the template. Now she's a toddler and I would really, truly love to make her one. I completely understand a decline given the situation you've been through. All the same, you must know that I still adore your work!
Hello!! I made an account just to say I love your hats, they're so beautiful!! I tried to make my own, but I can't figure out how you make the lace at the base of the hat go around in a circle and lay so flat. Whenever I try, it puckers up and looks really bad. Do you have any tips?

@ Beatka g., I had a photo and brief description of how these were made but, have since taken them down. Although I had requested they be used only for personal use, as I make and sell these myself, I was still finding my exact pattern for sale on other websites. As in the description, I don't own the idea of Tea Cup Hats but, the pattern was my own. If you are sincere about making your own for your own personal use, message me and I'll be happy to share my secrets with you

I first started out making cake hats after seeing one in a 'Gothic & Lolita Bible' mook. I loved the quirkiness and wanted to make something else... I can't know for sure if the idea came to me or if I had seen one once before and forgot but, since then I've found other similar hats.
LOL i saw this tute, and thought i must fave this, but i had have this done allready, still love the cuphat topper, i wish i had the energy to make one, mayby some time after my big move.;-D
