these incredibly easy to make mittens are perfect for Xmas presents!
you can make them in whatever shape, colour and style you want, which makes this a year round project for all seasons.

  • Step 1

    cut out your desired mitten shape. measure this against some cutlery to make sure your pieces are a decent length.

    you will need two pieces per mitten.

  • Step 2

    using a blanket stitch, sew together the two pieces with embroidery thread.

    i have used a contrasting colour for this.

  • Step 3

    stitch ribbon around the top of the mitten.
    sew another row of ribbon into the felt with a gathering stitch, and tie the two ends together. this will then be pulled closed to keep the cutlery enclosed.

  • Step 4

    finally, stitch a button onto the felt to complete the Christmas feel!
