from "Where The Wild Things Are" but can be for just about anything!
At the video store where I work we sometimes dress up and do fun things for upcoming movies. So when "Where The Wild Things Are" came out I knew we had to have some crowns like the little boy's to wear, we've since used them for a bunch of things since they're pretty simple looking but it was a lot of fun.

    Step 1

Go to your local Burger King and ask for some crowns, as many as you need. If you need more then a few then I suggest telling them you're using them for a school project (even if you're not!) which is what I had to do when they got all curious on me.

Buy a can of gold spray paint.

Now if you're aiming for them to look like the ones from the movie, or if you just don't like the look of the original BK shape crown cut them as you see fit.

  • Step 3

Next spray paint the crown, you'll need a least 2 layers (probably more) and if you get quick dry paint you'll need to let the crown sit for at least 15 minutes in between layers so you don't have a yucky drip affect. And you may need to do a touch-up layer where you're only really spraying the gems and the BK logo which are the hardest to cover-up.

And you're finished! Now after letting it dry fully (at least half an hour) you can wear it OR you can decorate it however you like. I kept mine plain because it was for work and I figured we'd reuse them lots. But you can go crazy with it and add all sorts of fun stuff.
