I bought this awesome black pencil skirt for $4 at my local Goodwill store. I needed a top to go with it so I used an old, white, over sized t shirt that was collecting dust in my closet.

Description

I bought this awesome black pencil skirt for $4 at my local Goodwill store. I needed a top to go with it so I used an old, white, over sized t shirt that was collecting dust in my closet.

Instructions

  1. Small oldt1

Lay out the shirt and make sure it's as flat as possible. Cut off a good amount of sleeve (just so there's about an inch away from the armpit of the shirt). Cut parallel to the cuff of the sleeve.

  2. Small 13966 309202125236 645110236 9485958 2878751 n

Cut off the collar. Then take a ruler and mark your v neck. It doesn't have to be perfect. Cut out the v neck. Your shirt should look like this.

  3. Small 13966 309202100236 645110236 9485956 7353955 n

I cut the lace off of dress from a thrift store. If you don't have lace, you can either leave it the way it is and dress it up with jewelry or add a colored belt.

  4. Small 13966 309202115236 645110236 9485957 5153491 n

If you do choose to add lace, just position it where you think looks best. Since I don't sew, I applied it with hot glue... I didn't have fabric glue but I would probably recommend using that. See- that wasn't too difficult.
