About

So I had this event that's around Valentine's day that required a cupid costume. I went online and tried to find something, but it was all to costly. So I though, why don't I make something! And I thought of this. It isn't too complicated and I can tell all my friends I made it!

Do I look like cupid guise? (:

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Sewing Machine
  • Ruler /Measuring Tape
  • Scissors
  • Iron For The Fusible Web
  • Fusible Web
  • Red And White Thread
  • Red And White Fabric

Steps (6 steps, 170 minutes)

  1. 1

First, using the white fabric, cut 2 rectangles with dimensions of 14cm (5.5") by 48cm (19").

  2. 2

Print out the word document attached to this tutorial. Use it as a template to cut the word "CUPID" out of some red fabric.
For some reason, there are three word documents attached of the exact same thing, so you can open any one of them as they are all the same.

  3. 3

Fold one of your white rectangular pieces in half and make a small mark. This point you be around where your shoulder would sit. To the right of that mark, iron your red letters onto it with fusible web. Arrange them however you would like :)

  4. 4

Make a very tight zigzag stitch around the edge of the letters. This makes it look professional and neat (:

  5. 5

Once your all done, sew the two rectangular pieces together, with the wrong ways facing you. Leave a gap, so you can turn it inside out.

Sorry, forgot to take a photo :/

  6. 6

Connect the two ends of the rectangle and sew it together.

    And voilaaa !

Pair this with some angelic winds, a red skirt and a white top. I'm obviously missing the wings, but you get the idea.

    ENJOY!
