    Step 1

so i found these flower fun cups by wilton and they were so adorable i had to do something with them, and i'm always losing my needles...of course that meant i had to turn them into pin cushions!

Once you get all your materials together, you'll need to make a circle of fabric about three times the size of the cupcake holder. i traced a giant mug to make my circle.

now fill your partiallty sinched circle with the sand. keep cinching as you go, and be careful- this part can get messy!

you use coarse sand because it helps keep your needles sharp.

    Step 8

now, i have a picture of me hot gluing the cushion into tyhe cup, but i found that hot glue isn't strong enough to hold a bag of sand. sobo glue, however, works wonderfully, even though it takes a lot longer to dry- about 20 minutes

now all you have to do is put your needles in their brand new cushion!
