A sweet gift for a friend
This was a gift I made for a friend last year for her birthday. She collects snow globes and this one is unique since I made it myself.

The cupcakes are made out of clay. The one on the cork was made with a mold, the one inside the jar I made myself (after 4 attempts).

After the clay had dried completely I colored it with purple and pink nailpolish and finished off with several layers of clear nail polish in the hopes it would protect the clay in the water.

I glued the cupcake to the bottom of the jar with epoxy, filled the bottle with water and something else that I forgot (shampoo?) and put in some pink glitter. The glitter stained the water a bit, but that was ok.

I glued in the cork (originally this jar had a metallic lid that didn't close all too well and looked ugly) with epoxy and put a pink ribbon around the neck of the jar.
Put the flat cupcake on top of the cork and voila, a nice snow globe.

I have no clue as to whether this thing is still intact or has fallen apart over the year....
