Not quite Cuban, but close!
I'm not sure how authentic this is, but it's following the rough idea of a classic Cuban sandwich. It tasted amazing!

You Will Need

Step 1We couldn't find any really suitable bread, so we cut a regular white loaf lengthways.

Step 2Cut two slices! Spread each side with a little olive oil, then turn over.

Step 3Start with a layer of mustard...

Step 4Add some pickles...

Step 5Then a few slices of swiss cheese...

Step 6We added some veggie ham...

Step 7and slices of veggie pepperoni, and a little salt and pepper.

Step 8Time to cook! We used a hotplate, on a medium setting. A sandwich press would be ideal, but to get some pressure on it, I rested a heavy skillet on the top of the sandwich. Use a medium heat - don't burn the bread, but make sure the cheese gets to melting point.

Step 9It's done! Cut it diagonally. And don't share it. With anyone.
