This is a fun little heart a friend of mine showed me how to make. Any crocheter can make this heart. All you need to know are some basic stitches: Chain (CH), Single Crochet (SC), Double Crochet (DC), and Slip Stitch (SL ST).
This is a fun little heart a friend of mine showed me how to make. Any crocheter can make this heart. All you need to know are some basic stitches: Chain (CH), Single Crochet (SC), Double Crochet (DC), and Slip Stitch (SL ST).
Like always first you need to gather your yarn and a hook. Any size hook will work ( I used a size H hook) and any kind of yarn is fine. I am using white because I am making hearts for a red scarf I am making.
How that you have your hook and yarn, you need to CH 6.
After you get your chain you need to do 5 SC across, that will be row 1. You will repeat this step for rows 2-4 ( you should have 5 rows of 5 SC's).
Now you want to find the half point on the side of your 5 rows. You are going to make a DC and then CH 1 ( you will do this 5 more times making a total of 6 DC's). Note that you need to CH 1 after every DC.
Now that you have your first 6 DC's you want to make a SL ST in the corner. Once you do that and you turn your work you will be right back on the 5 SC's you previously made. Count over 3 stitches, you will make another 6DC's right there. Again remember you CH 1 after every DC. After your last DC you want to CH 1 and make a SL ST. <---- *Sorry this one came out a little crooked since I was making it and writing down the instruction. :)
Now you have a little heart!
