  • How to stitch a knit or crochet bracelet. Crochet Necklace Or Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

You can choose any type of yarn you would like and the size of the hook will determine how thick the single crochet will be.

You start by tying a loop big enough for the crochet hook to fit through (most people use a slip knot) leaving a tail - I would recommend several inches for the tail as it was a challenge to get the button attached to that end.

then pull the yarn through and repeat until

  • Step 2

Repeat pulling yarn through the loop creating small loops until it is the length that you want. For this project I crocheted for about an hour.

  • Step 3

At the end, bend over to make a loop large enough for the button that you are using to go through then insert the hook into the center of where the end touches and make a loop or two and tie off in a knot,

  • Step 4

At the beginning, thread through the button. If the end is short you may need to use a wire to secure it.

The button I used had two layers (or you could use two buttons) and hid the end of the wire between the two pieces and glued to secure.

  • Step 5

Wrap the finished project around your wrist or neck to the length you wants.
