So I have a trip coming up that I’m going to have to take for work and luckily for this one I will be driving so I won’t have to worry about what I pack making it through a TSA checkpoint. In light of this I’ve decided that I will take a few crafty things to keep myself busy, foremost among them being crochet. The problem with this is that normally I just carry whatever project I’m working on in my purse so I don’t really have a proper way to transport my crochet needles, so I decided to change that through the medium of, what else, crochet!

Pattern: Ch 9 Row 1: sc all across (8) Continue to sc for every row until you get the desired length, for me this was 13 inches. Then sc in 3 stitches, ch 2, skip 2, sc in last three. This will create your horizontal button hole. For your last row sc all across, break off and weave in all of your ends. Construction: Single crochet all around the edges, once you get to where you want the sides to line up and create the pouch just sc them together. Sew your button onto the body of your carrier wherever will make it most convenient for the button hole to reach it, be sure to use a thread that either matches your button or your thread, unless you just don’t care in which case I say you do you.
