Instructions

  1. Small 113523 2f2016 04 22 185403 kaylapattern

Before you begin, you'll want to make a simple chart spelling the babies name and year of birth. Grab some graph paper and a pen and plot it out - it should be a grid of roughly 22 x 33.

  2. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 234835 img 4237

CO20 Rows 1-10: Knit in garter stitch.

  3. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 234840 img 4239

    Begin chart.

  4. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 234844 img 4262

When you finish stitching the chart, measure your bottle warmer against the bottle to check the fit. Stitch a few more rows in garter stitch if it's too small.

  5. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 234959 img 4263

    Cast off.

  6. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 235010 img 4264

Using a crochet hook, add a scalloped edge to the top and bottom of the bottle. Row 1: Crochet one row. Chain 1. Row 2: Miss 1 stitch, 5 dc in next stitch, miss 1 stitch, sc in next stitch and repeat to the end of row.

  7. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 235017 img 4265

Use a yarn needle to sew the bottle warmer snuggly around the bottle holder.

  8. Small 113523 2f2016 02 25 235027 img 4267

Weave in all the loose tails and you're all done.
