Step 1
After applying a base coat to protect against staining I went ahead and applied 2 coats of Misty Mauve.
Step 2
While the polish is still wet, use the applicator to pour on the little balls. I used a fast drying polish which turned out to be a mistake as it had dried by the time I got the lid off. Oops. After I got my nail mostly covered I dipped it into the excess spillage in the bowl to fill the gaps. Then I patted the balls down flat.
Step 3
Then carefully apply a top coat. I was not careful. In the process of applying the top coat I found that I was moving the balls around and creating gaps

I used the Gemini constellations with a MUA nail polish, but when applying the top coat, the colour of the balls disappeared??
Can anyone help please, what am I doing wrong?
