An art piece for a fabric class I took.
I am a person that suffers from severe anxiety. Pair that with being an introvert and it creates a person who stays within her comfort zone more often than not. My mom used to say my room wasn't really my room, it was my "womb" I found it fitting then to use this ultrasound image as a base for my project. The rainbow swirls exiting from my brain represent me escaping what's keeping me held in. It could also be a representation of my own creative mind. I made it by printing the image on fabric and using a machine to add the stitching. The embroidery hoop and string allow it to be worn as a necklace.
