This makes a great gift if anyone you know could always use a case for those glasses or is a comic lover in general! My second time decoupaging this case...before it was all clips of poetry... but I felt it was time to switch it up!

This makes a great gift if anyone you know could always use a case for those glasses or is a comic lover in general! My second time decoupaging this case...before it was all clips of poetry... but I felt it was time to switch it up!

Instructions

  1. Small dscn3375 1246928066

    Gather up what you'll need.

  2. Small dscn3376 1246928204

Clip your comics out, whether from the Sunday Funnies or out of a comic book, or even another location.

  3. Small dscn3377 1246928278

Start the edges...by applying a thin coat of Mod Podge the length of your comic panel. Lightly press down.

  4. Small dscn3379 1246928377

Lay it flat around the curves and corners of your case. You can press down and apply Mod Podge in the area(s) where it creases and folds down. Or trim it up, as demonstrated in the next step.

  5. Small dscn3380 1246928516

Or around the curves and corners of your case, you could trim it up and cut off the excess carefully.

  6. Small dscn3381 1246928576

One direction your paper should go, as seen in the picture, you could even do something funky and do mismatched directions.

  7. Small dscn3382 1246928666

Layer up! Apply a few more layers of comic panels or parts, with out over layering it or excessively putting layers of paper on.

  8. Small dscn3383 1246928732

    Let it dry.

  9. Small dscn3384 1246928773

Patch up any areas where you may have missed bits and pieces with smaller pieces of comics and Mod Podge.

  10. Small dscn3385 1246928850

One final coat of Mod Podge to seal everything in. Allow to dry again.

  11. Small dscn3386 1246928904

Trim any edges that have excessive paper or bits that could interfere with the case in general.

  12. Small dscn3387 1246928939

Glasses now can go into the case!

Enjoy it! And remember... Have fun crafting! (:
