I've always hated the bland, traditional chandelier in our dining that came with our house. It was so boring, and did not reflect my style at all. But removing the shades and spray painting it a bright, bold color completely transformed it!

You Will Need (3 things)

  • Chandelier
  • Spray Paint
  • Painters Tape

Steps (3 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Make sure the chandelier surface is clean from any dust or dirt. Clean out all the little crevices so the paint sticks evenly throughout.

  2. 2

Wrap up all of the electrical areas with blue painters tape so they don't get covered in paint; the cord and the sockets for the light bulbs.

  3. 3

Before you paint, test your paint color to be certain that it's the color you want. Multiple layers of spray paint will start to appear thick and will show drip marks. Then, spray paint away! I put two coats on and went through about a bottle and a half of spray paint.
