I love how almost every fashion trend can be reinterpreted with crochet technique. With a 3 mm crochet hook, a few rows and less than 50 gr. of yarn I crocheted a collar necklace which I loved and wanted to share… The 100% cotton thread makes the color so alive! and it gives an outfit a whole different look.

Instructions

  1. Ch 120, join last and first ch with ss to close in the round. R1: Ch 3, dc 119= 120 sts. Beginning 3 ch replace the first dc. To close the row ss in the 3rd beginning ch. R2: Ch 3, dc 8, 2 dc in next st, (dc 9, 2 dc in next st) rep ( ) 11 times = 132 sts. Ss in 3rd beginning ch. R3: Ch 3, dc 9, 2 dc in next st, (dc 10, 2 dc in next st) rep ( ) 11 times = 144 sts. Ss in 3rd beginning ch. Fasten off. Rejoin yarn to dc #49.

  2. R4: Ch1, {sc 1, ch 3, skip 2 sts, (dc 1, ch 5, dc 1) in next st, ch 3, skip 2 sts} rep { } 8 times, sc 1. Ss in next st and fasten off. Don’t turn your work, rejoin yarn to the first 5 ch space R5: Ch3, dc 3, 3 picots, dc 4, {(dc 4, 3 picots, dc 4) in next 5 ch space} rep { } 7 times. Fasten off.

  3. Weave in all ends, the collar is ready.
