Use your old cosmetics packaging to interestingly decorate a custon sized mirror and frame!
I am a huge makeup whore, and it is not easy sharing one full length mirror in my dorm room with my room mate while getting ready to go out at night... that's why I thought up the idea to make an 8x10 inch mirror that can sit on my desk and make everything easier!

I could only find a 12x12 mirror at the craft store so I had to cut the mirror down to 8x10, but when i cut it with the glass cutter the mirror broke off in the wrong place so one side is slightly slanted and the whole mirror is smaller than 8x10... but that's OK!

I made the frame out of 3 layers of foam board that i custom sized around the "off" shape of the mirror. Then i decorated the frame with the boxes/packaging of cosmetics I bought. The packaging is just too cute to throw out! I also used magazine clippings as a base layer and then added the thicker pieces after. After that i added on some 3 dimensional elements like the crystals and sugar strips.

After everything was put together I sprayed everything with craft sealant and voila!
