I made a coiled wire hook bail to alternated the pendants on a necklace.

    I started with a 10 inch piece of 20 gauge wire, slightly bent it in half to mark the center and started coiling thinner 26 gauge wire at one end (it's easier than starting in the middle). I made the coil about an inch long.

    I moved the coil towards the center of the thicker piece of wire and bent in half.

    I continued with a wire weaving pattern, less than an inch long.

    I wrapped both ends of the thicker wire around a marker so they met and crossed just above the end of the wire woven section.

    I started coiling the thinner wire around the double-wire circle.

    When I reached the other end, I wrapped the thin wire around the base a couple of times and cut it.

    Then I twisted the two wire ends into spirals and bent the hook with bail-forming pliers (or you could use round-nose pliers).
