A cute little bookmark that stays put
I saw these awsome bookmarks on the 90's show "Art Attack" and I decided to make my own. They're not exactly the same as the ones on the show but they're basically the same idea and they work!

    Step 1

Draw or trace a picture of a climbing animal that you would like as a bookmark. I chose a koala bear and a squirrel. You could also try a woodpecker or a mountain climber or even a cat.

Take your stencil and trace it on some card stock or fine carboard. It doesn't matter what you use really but it has to be thicker then construction paper and thinner then cardboard.

    Step 3

Take your stencil and trace the left side of it in detail. Don't worry about tracing the whole thing again because you won't need it. Instead make sure that this second piece is a little bigger than half of the first piece.

Next, add a thin line of hot glue (or the glue you choose. Now line the two pieces up perfectly so that the one with the glue dissapears behind the big piece and let it dry.

Once they are dry they should look like this. Now just slip them onto your book pages and enjoy!
