• 

  Step 1

  Take the top off your clear bauble and make sure there's no dust or crud in it.

  Step 2

  Get your cotton wool and pull it apart into very small pieces. If you have proper fake snow that may work better. Or if you just have something that looks more snow-like, although I wouldn't recommend using a fine powder.

  Step 3

  Mix a little water and PVA until you have a mixture which is about the consistency of double cream

• 

  Step 4

  Pour the glue mixture into your bauble and swirl it around so that it coats the bottom of your bauble

• 

  Step 5

  Drop little pieces of cotton wool into your bauble and press them down using an earbud/pen/chopstick, you may want to drop in more glue the get a thicker layer of 'snow' once you have pressed down the first layer of cotton wool. Once you are satisfied with the snow layer, add a little white glitter.

  Step 6

  Be careful when you are dropping your cotton wool in that nothing else got caught up in it - I have this annoying red blob in mine.

  Step 7

  Take little chunks of cotton wool and roll them into balls, you can reinforce them with pva glue too. They need to be small enough so that you will be able to push them into your bauble, even if it is a bit of a squeeze.

  Step 8

  When you roll and glue them it doesn't matter if there are a few areas where they look a bit dodgy, because when you glue them one on top of the other you can easily hide those bits. I used superglue to glue them which worked pretty well.

  Step 9

  Dip your finger in a mixture of fairy liquid and water and take a little bit of orange wool fibre. Roll it between your thumb and forefinger to get a little pointy felt carrot.
  Then do a similar thing with dark brown fibre, but instead of rolling it to make a carrot, make a twig shape

  Step 10

  Trim these with scissors and then superglue them to your snowman body

  Step 11

  Use a black pen to draw on eyes, a mouth (if you want), and buttons

• 

  Step 12

  Take a piece of red fibre and smooth it using the fairy liquid mixture into a long, flat scarf shape, then trim the ends so you get straight edges.

• 

  Step 13

  Wrap the scarf around your snowman (to be extra careful you could secure it with a blob of superglue).

• 

  Step 14

  If, like me, your snowman is bigger than your opening it is not a problem. Make sure that his nose, arms, and scarf are very secure and then force him in.

• 

  Step 15

  Tah Dah! You should drop some superglue into the bauble before forcing him in so that he sticks to the bottom and you can then use your earbud/pen/chopstick to rearrange him a little. I would not recommend using your pinkie finger because the edge of the opening is not smooth and gave me a cut.

  Step 16

  Replace the top of the bauble, tie some christmasy string through it and hang on your tree!
