You Will Need (10 things)

  • Cake

  • 250 g Butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 40 g Cocoa
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 40 g Chocolate
  • 4 Eggs
  • 200 g Plain Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

Steps (10 steps, 70 minutes)

    Heat oven 180 degrees.

    In a pan melt butter.

    Add sugar & cocoa.

    Stir through.

    Add milk

    Bring to a boil for 1 min.

    Reserve 1 cup of liquid & pour over chocolate.

    Set aside (for glaze).

    Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks.

    Add the eggs, one at a time, to the remaining butter mixture.

    Add the flour, baking powder & salt to the butter/egg mixture.

  7. 7

    Fold in the egg whites.

    Pour into a tin.

    Bake for 30-35 mins.

    Allow to cool completely

    Pour the glaze over the cake.

    Cut & serve.
