I never use box mixes...ever! but it was my brother-in-law's birthday, I'd had a late night at work and so I turned to Betty crocker but gave it my own twist! and made it personal for my peanut butter loving brother-in-law!

- 1 cup Unsalted Butter (I used Organic)

Bake your box mix cake. I chose Devil's Food cake by Betty Crocker because it's a classic. Leave it to cool

In the meantime start making your delicious peanut butter frosting.
You will need:
2 cups Icing (Powdered) Sugar
1/4 cup semi-skimmed milk
1/4 cup unsalted organic butter
1/2 cup smooth organic peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla1. Blend all the ingredients together in a freestanding mixer until smooth.

Add half of your frosting to one layer of your cake. Chop up Peanut M&M's into quarters or smaller and spread them all over the top of the frosting.

Put the 2nd layer on top of the frosting and crushed up M&M's.
Make a small amount of chocolate frosting using icing sugar, butter, a drop of milk and some melted milk chocolate (only use half of what you melt). I just eyeballed this.
Pipe chocolate swirls around the edge of the cake using a piping bag and a star nozzle.
Put the other half of the melted chocolate into a piping bag and drizzle it over the cake.
Put one M&M on top of each swirl.
Eat and enjoy!
