Description

instead of showing up to a party with the overly-done chocolate covered strawberries, surprise your friends with these crowd pleasers. i took them to an all girl wine night and they were a HIT!

Instructions

  1. first off, wash your strawberries and mint leaves. the finished product will be completely edible.

  2. Small img01996 20110715 1441 1313428515

use a melon baller or a small spoon to scoop out the insides of the strawberries. don't hallow too much or you'll have a hole in the berry which will cause the chocolate to leak out. put the hallowed strawberries in a muffin tin to keep them upright for easy pouring

(here's the melon baller i have. the jagged edge end works so well with this project). i was going to try chocolate and white chocolate, but ended up only using the chocolate. play around, have fun. put the chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave. start in small increments because each microwave varies. you do NOT want to burn your chips

  4. Small img01998 20110715 1448 1313428702

spoon the melted chocolate into a sandwich bag and snip a SMALL hole in one of the corners with scissors. squeeze the chocolate into each strawberry, filling it up

stick your mint leaves into the chocolate and put in the freezer or refrigerator until the chocolate has set
