Chocolate date squares
These are moist & tasty.
You could eat them without the icing & they would still taste great.
In a pan combine dates, sugar, butter & water.
Heat until boiling.
Reduce to a simmer for 5 mins.
Remove from heat.
Add the chocolate.
Stir to melt & combine.
Put aside to cool.
Once cooled, beat in eggs one at a time.
Stir in flour & milk alternating until all ingredients are used.
Pour into tin bake 180 degrees for 30 mins.
Remove from oven.
Mix butter, icing sugar, cocoa & enough water to make a paste.
stir until smooth & combined.
Pour over the cake & smooth out.
Allow to set.
Cut & serve.
